Traditional Chai with decaffeinated black tea.
Decaffeinated Chai is a traditional chai except it is made with decaffeinated black tea. The tea is decaffeinated by CO2, no chemicals are used in the decaffeination process. The taste is of a traditional chai with the delightful flavour of cardamom followed by all the other authentic spices.
Contains – Decaffeinated black tea, cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, aniseed, black pepper, nutmeg, rose buds.
To make a traditional (milky) chai brew 1 heaped teaspoon in 1/3 of a cup of water for 5 – 8 mins @ 100C. Once brewed add 2/3 cup of hot milk. Strain and serve with honey if desired. To make a normal tea use 1 heaped teaspoon per cup and brew for 2 – 4 mins @ 100C.
